Lo Scudo di Stabio is a Bike Friendly property designed to offer cyclists a practical, safe and comfortable stay. Located in the heart of the Mendrisiotto, just a few minutes from the Italian border and connected to the local cycling network, it is an excellent starting point for exploring Ticino and the nearby provinces of Como and Varese.

The property offers dedicated services for bicycle storage, maintenance and e-bike battery charging, with spaces specifically designed for guests travelling on two wheels.

Keeping your bicycle safe is an essential part of every cycling trip.

Lo Scudo di Stabio therefore provides a covered bicycle storage area with 16 bike spaces, reserved for guests. The area is protected from the weather and monitored by 24-hour CCTV, providing a dedicated space for both traditional bicycles and e-bikes.

The bicycle storage is available at a cost of Fr. 1 per bicycle per night and must be selected as an optional service during the booking process. 

A dedicated e-bike battery charging cabinet is available for charging electric bicycle batteries in a separate and purpose-built space.

Guests can therefore recharge their e-bike batteries exclusively in this dedicated cabinet, without bringing them inside the building or the apartments. 

Before setting off on a new ride, or after returning from a day of cycling, guests can use the S.O.S. Bike station located outside the property.

The station is equipped with a professional pump with pressure gauge, a bicycle support and a range of tools for common adjustments and minor repairs. 

Lo Scudo di Stabio is an ideal starting point for exploring the Mendrisiotto by bicycle, through vineyards, natural landscapes, villages and routes across southern Ticino.

Inside the property, guests can also use a dedicated Mendrisiotto Turismo information totem, offering suggestions, ideas, destinations and itineraries to help plan cycling excursions and discover the region.

Stabio’s location also makes it easy to continue towards the rest of the Mendrisiotto and the nearby areas of Como and Varese.

At the end of the day, guests can relax in the comfort of their apartment, equipped with a fully fitted kitchen, air conditioning, high-speed Wi-Fi, Smart TV, private washing machine and dryer.

The common areas, garden and outdoor spaces complete the stay, providing pleasant surroundings in which to unwind after a day exploring the region. 

For safety reasons, bicycles are not permitted inside the building or the apartments.

Bicycles may be stored exclusively in the property’s bicycle storage area, available at a cost of Fr. 1 per bicycle per night and to be selected during the booking process.

It is also not permitted to bring or charge e-bike batteries inside the building or the apartments. Batteries must be charged exclusively in the dedicated battery charging cabinet.
